Uli Richter (born in 1926) is a German fashion designer based in Berlin who influenced like no other post-war German fashion.   He launched the “Berlin chic” : he created modern, simple but chic, high quality, and wearable clothes for all the women. His talent exeeded the Germany’s borders ; he knew a big success internationally especially in the United States. His creations were photographed by the most famous photographers such as F.C Gundlach and Regina Relang. In 2016, The Museum of Decorative Arts in Berlin celebrated his 90th birthday with an exhibition dedicated to his work.
