The costume designer Jacqueline Durran

Jacqueline Durran is a British costume designer known for the Joe Wright’s movies “Atonement” (2007), “Pride and prejudice” (2005) and “Anna Karenina” (2012). The splendid emerald green silk gown worn by Keira Knightley in “Atonement” had been voted “Best Costume of All Time” by ky Movies and readers of In Style.

Jacqueline Durran won an Academy Award for Best Costume Design for her work on the movie “Anna Karenina”. Her costumes for this movie are a clever mix of 1950s French Haute Couture and 1870s Russian Empresses’ outfits. The jewels had been lent by Chanel. She was also nominated three times for “Atonement”,  “Pride and Prejudice” and “Mr. Turner” by Mike Leigh (2014).
