Antique jewelry : Greek (-1700 to -30), Roman (From 753 before J.-C to 476 after J.-C) and Etruscan ( From VIII century to 1st century before J.-C) jewelry are sources of inspiration for current jewelers.

Medieval jewelry : Byzantine (395-1453), Merovingian (End of V century to the middle of VIII century) and Carolingian (752-987) jewelry inspire jewelers.

Georgian (British period from 1714 to 1830) and Victorian (British period under the reign of Queen Victoria 1st from 1837 to 1901) jewelry are also sources of inspiration for many jewelry designers.
