HANDMADE NECKLACE IN PARIS. Materials : Citrine, pink-tinted Jade and gold and transparent Swarovski crystals. The feminine fuchsia, the glamorous shiny and golden crystals and the sunlight from the citrines remind me a ravishing Princess with a charm of yesteryear. The name “Adélaïde” refers to the French princess Adélaïde d’Orléans (1777-1847), a younger sister of Louis-Philippe d’Orléans, who became King of the French in 1830 and reigned until 1848.

From 1830 until her last breath in 1847, Princess Adelaide of Orleans had been the unofficial advisor to her brother, Louis-Philippe d’Orleans, King of the French (1830-1848 / “Monarchy of July”).
