The adventure of the Christmas pudding

Cora Sheibani pudding ring, jade and coral holly brooch and holly and berry gold bread and butter plate.
This set illustrates the Agatha Christie’s short story “The adventure of the Christmas pudding”, published in 1960. The US version is entitled “The theft of the royal ruby”.
Hercule Poirot is asked by an Eastern Prince to get back a jewel (ruby) presumably stolen by one of his mistress. This matter is delicate because he will marry soon and fears a scandal. In order to investigate, Hercule Poirot is invited by the Lacey’s family for Christmas. On the Christmas Day, a pudding is served but the detective is informed by a note, not to eat it.
