History of the “Urania” silk scarf (video)

I adore Art Deco and Oriental mosaics ; i combined these two influences to design “Urania”. I created kite shapes which were typical of the Art Deco movement and the geometric stars i drew have oriental influences.

In the Art Deco movement (1910-1939) and the Oriental art, geometry is very present. I named this geometric and symmetric scarf design, “Urania” because she was the Greek muse of astronomy, astrology and geometry.
