Medieval jewelry (476/496-1453/1454/1492) : Byzantine (395-1453), Merovingian (458-751) and Carolingian (751-987), Capetian (987-1328) jewelry inspire jewelers. Renaissance (15th and 16th century) jewelry is reinterpreted by jewelry creators.
Baroque (from the 17th to the beginning of the 18th century), Georgian (British period from 1714 to 1830) and Victorian (British period under the reign of Queen Victoria 1st from 1837 to 1901), Edwardian (British period from to 1901 to 1910) jewelry are also sources of inspiration for many jewelry designers.
