Gene Tierney is one of my favourite actresses. It was a wonderful interpreter during the golden age of Hollywood. She played in famous “film noir” movies. Glamorous and gracious, Gene Tierney was very moving. She was abble to play very different female characters : mysterious in “Laura” (Joseph L. Mankiewicz) , vulnerable in “Whirlpool” (Otto Preminger), voluntary in “The ghost and Mrs. Muir” (Otto Preminger), gentle in “Heaven can wait” (Ernest Lubitsch) or poisonous in “leave her to heaven” (John M. Stahl). These movies are my favourites of her.
