The vintage fashion illustrator Ruth Freeman

Ruth Freeman was a Canadian born fashion illustrator who worked for the magazines Vogue, She, Good Housekeeping and Harper’s Bazaar. She also worked in adversiting (brochures for the London department store Harrods).

  1. Ruth Freeman was my paternal grandfathers sister. I knew of her history, but never saw her sketches before…so, thank you..!
    What a pleasure to finallysee her work..!
    I ended up working in design ( scenery & costumes ), as well as scene painting and building props, at the stratford shakespeare festival of Canada.
