Horst P. Horst (1906-1999) was an American fashion photographer who worked from 1931 to 1991. He shot famous models like Jean Shrimpton and Suzy Parker. He also made portraits of Hollywood stars like Rita Hayworth and Gene Tierney. His photos were sophisticated and creative.
In 1931, he produced his first photos for French Vogue. The next year, he collaborated with American Vogue. In 1935, when George Hoyningen-Huene left, he became the leader of Harper’s Bazaar. From 1943 to 1951, he worked for Vogue. Then, he founded his own studio.
