Sorelle Fontana was an Italian Haute couture fashion house based in Rome. It was created in 1943 by the Fontana sisters (Micol Fontana, Giovanna Fontana and Zoe Fontana). In the 1950s, they launched a line of ready to wear. In 1992, the brand was selling to an Italian financial group. In 1994, Micol created the Micol Fontana Foundation.
The greatest movie stars and celebrities wore their gowns like Ava Gardner, Elizabeth Taylor and Jacqueline Kennedy. Sorelle Fontana had a great influence on Italian fashion by creating “the high end Made in Italy value”.
