The Old Hollywood costume designer Irene Sharaff

Irene Sharaff (1910-1993) was an American costume designer who was nominated for 15 Academy Awards. She worked mainly as a free-lance ; she worked only 4 years for studios. From 1943 to 1945, she worked under contract at MGM, and from 1946-1948, she was at RKO. She is mainly known for her work for “An American in Paris”, “Brigadoon”, “The King and I”, “Cleopatra”, “Funny girl”, West Side Story” and “Hello Dolly”.
