Gordon Parks (1912-2006) was a black American photographer who worked for Life magazine from the 1940s to the 1970s.
Multi-talent and activist, he produced fashion photoshoots, realized photos of celebrities, directed movies (“Shaft”), wrote books, but also depicted through pictures the poverty and racial segregation in the United States. His fashion photographs are elegant, sophisticated and creative. Famous models like Twiggy and Veruschka had been under his objective.
