The vintage fashion designer Geoffrey Beene

Geoffrey Beene (1927-2004) was an American fashion designer considered as a design pionner. He launched his own label in 1963 and known immediately a great success. He was an influent designer in the sixties : mix of patterns and fabrics, white and black prints, elaborate seams, jersey clothes… Recognized by his peers, he won several awards : 8 Coty awards (first in 1964) and the Neiman Marcus Award (1965).
