Franz Christian Gundlach (born in 1926) is the most significant fashion photographer of Germany’s post-war years. Gundlach covered the evolution of fashion : “from the optimistic postwar years to the beginning of postmodernism, from Paris Haute Couture to Prêt-à-Porter, and from Berlin Chic to the colorful designs of the 1980s”. His work is namely inspired by Op-art and Pop-art.
