The vintage fashion photographe Frances Mclaughlin-Gill

The American Frances McLaughlin-Gill (1919-2014) was one of the rare female photographers in the 40’s. She was the first female photographer to sign a contract with Vogue in 1943. She said about her work “everyone was wearing beautiful clothes, sitting in an elegant chair, or leaning against a pillar, looking into the camera.” Her photos are beautiful, elegant, sophisticated and sensual.
