I adored Claudette Colbert in the movie “It happened one night“with Clark Gable, directed by Frank Capra” in 1934.
Rita Hayworth was spectacular in the movie “Gilda“with Glenn Ford directed by Charles Vidor in 1946 and was a fatal woman in “The lady from Shanghai” by Orson Welles in 1947.
Bette Davis delivered a memorable performance in the movie “What ever happened to Baby Jane?” with Joan Crawford, directed by Robert Aldrich in 1963.
Elizabeth Taylor was very moving in the movie “Cat on a hot tin roof” with Paul Newman, directed by Richard Brooks in 1958 and fabulous in “Cleopatra” directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz in 1963.
Natalie Wood was very touching in “Splendor in the grass” by Elia Kazan (1961) and also in “The property is condemned” by Sydney Pollack (1966).
