I tasted the breakfast at the famous Tea house Angelina in Paris. Angelina was founded in 1903 by Antoine Rumpelmayer and the decoration was designed by the famous Belle Epoque architect Edouard-Jean Niermans. The decor is finely-worked and sophisticated with gildings, murals and mouldings, ledges, medaillons… It is an ravishing and timeless place.
My favourite pastry from Angelina is the “Mont -blanc” (Meringue, whipped cream, chestnut cream vermicelli). The hot chocolate is one of my favourites in Paris (with “Colorova” and “Jean Paul Hévin”). This hot chocolate is a blend of four cacaos with a chantilly cream.
There are two different breakfasts at Angelina : Parisian Breakfast and Angelina Breakfast. I took the Angelina breakfast which is the Parisian Breakfast (hot drink, fresh fruit juices, mini viennoiseries, bread roll) + fresh fruit salad and eggs prepared like you wish. It was delicious and it was a very pleasant moment. This tea room is peaceful and delightful. The words luxury, calm and voluptuousness fit perfectly with this tea room.
I went to the historic Angelina tea house, located : 226 Rue de Rivoli, 75001 Paris.
